About the Department
The Department of Commerce at Smt. Akkatai Ramgonda Patil Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Ichalkaranji, is committed to providing quality commerce education and developing students’ academic, professional and entrepreneurial abilities. The department aims to create a strong foundation in commerce, accounting, finance, business administration and related disciplines while encouraging ethical values, critical thinking, practical learning and lifelong development.
Through classroom teaching, student-centred activities, projects, seminars, workshops, industrial and banking visits, guest lectures and career-oriented initiatives, the department seeks to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world business practices. It encourages students to develop communication, analytical, digital and problem-solving skills required for higher education, employment and entrepreneurship.
Academic Programmes
The department offers undergraduate education in Commerce through the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programme. To extend learning opportunities at the postgraduate level, the Master of Commerce (M.Com.) programme was introduced in 2021.

Teaching–Learning and Student Development
